The objective was the development, starting from scratch, of a new type of dental unit with a fixed central housing, with enough space to accommodate all electric and hydraulic mechanisms, as well as the surgery compressor.
Important issues at the design process were patient’s comfort through the seat’s synchronised movement and the adjustable spit bowl.
Dentist’s accessibility to the patient, was achieved through the proper design of the back of the chair and the longest possible span of the dental tools arms.
The product was partially realised.
